Loss Prevention Incentive Program

Due to severe weather events, an aging infrastructure incapable of accommodating excess water flow, and the use of more water using appliances, water damage claims are on the rise.

What are the Common Sources of Water Damage?

Basement flooding from either sewer backup or sump pump failure

Burst pipes from aging or frozen plumbing systems

Leaks and overflowing of domestic water containers such as toilets, sinks, tubs

Leaks and overflowing of domestic appliances such as dishwashers, hot water tanks

Leaks from roof material due to heavy rain or plugged eaves trough

Leak from home’s foundation due to poor lot drainage or failure of weeping tile system

Starting in 2025, as part of our commitment to provide our Members with the best service and insurance product, we are excited to also offer our Members a Loss Prevention Incentive Program!

We are offering up to $1000 in incentives to assist with the installation of any of the listed Loss Prevention devices and/or systems on risks that qualify. Further conditions apply and can be reviewed with your Advisor or Broker.

sump pump backup system

Sump Pump Backup Systems: Installing a backup sump pump can help prevent basement flooding during heavy rains or power outages.

Check Valves: Installing check valves in plumbing can prevent backflow and mitigate water damage during heavy storm events. This proactive measure helps keep a home dry and reduces the risk of flooding claims.

Generator Installations and Hook-Ups: Power outages can leave a home vulnerable to flooding or other damage. A standby generator keeps essential systems like a sump pump and heating operating, reducing the risk of damage. We are offering incentives for Members who install or upgrade their generator systems.

Automatic Water Shut-Offs: An automatic water shut-off valve detects water either by monitoring flows in the pipe or by detecting water on the floor. When flow is irregular or moisture is detected, the valve will shut off the water supply to the home. These can prevent a significant amount of the damage that water leaks cause.

Water Level Sensor: These devices measure the liquid level in a container and alert a homeowner to the potential of an overflow.
