In 2022, the Board Members of Axiom Mutual had an idea. With the demand for food security on the rise across the country, and in keeping with Axiom Mutual’s core values to be a positive contributor in our communities, finding a way to help our local foodbanks was a priority. A simple solution could be make large monetary donations. But for a few of the farmers on the Board they saw an opportunity also make a stronger connection to Axiom Mutual’s heritage which is deeply rooted in agriculture.
The farming Directors on the Board decided to allocate some acres from their personal farming operations and donate the proceeds of those acres to local food banks. The Directors put out the call to the Advisors and Staff of Axiom Mutual to make donations. In its first year the total donation gifted to two local foodbanks was over $12,000.
After the first successful year, the “Director’s Cut” was now more an idea and became an all-in corporate fundraising initiative for Axiom.
